Lauinger Memorial Library (1970)

The Lauinger Library was built in 1970 after the University outgrew the Riggs Library (1988) on the third floor of the Healy Building. Designed by architect John Carl Warnecke in 1966, it was said to be a modern interpretation of the adjacent Healy Building, but its "brutalist" style has fallen out of favor in subsequent decades.
