Announced late last night: a #20 ranking for Georgetown University in the annual US News guide to the top colleges nationwide, up from #21 in 2015.

Among Big East schools, Villanova was recalssified as a national school, debuting at #50. Marquette (#86, unchanged fom in 2015) is the only other university ranked nationally in the top 100. Other nationally classified schools include DePaul (#124, down from #123), Seton Hall (#118, up from #123), and St. John's (#164, down from #153). Providence, Creighton, Xavier, and Butler are all ranked in regional categories.
